Taoiseach dissolves the 31st Dail

Election Date Confirmed for Friday February 26th
The Taoiseach has just dissolved the 31st Dáil and he's now en route to Aras an Uachtaran..
After President Higgins signs the paperwork the campaigning will officially begin.
The 32nd Dáil is to meet on March 10th next and voters will go to the Polls on Friday 26th February.
The Taoiseach’s comments kick start one of the shortest election campaign in the history of the State.
