Taoiseach says delay in Cork/US airlink not down to politics

The Taoiseach says the delay in the approval of the Cork/US airlink is not down to political obstruction.
Enda Kenny was speaking in Cork today almost 12 months since Norweigan Air applied for a permit to operate transatlantic flights from Cork to Boston and New York...
The Cork to Boston Route was due to be operational four months ago, but there's been stiff opposition to the plans Stateside and a decision on the granting of a US licence to operate the route is still pending.
The US Department of Transportation said in April that it intended to grant the permit, but since then the process has stalled. The European Commission has also sought arbitration on the matter.
