Taoiseach says Government will respond as West Cork continues to experience the fallout of severe flooding

Emergency services and Cork County Council have spent another night battling heavy rain and flooding.
Some homes and businesses have suffered flooding in recent days despite efforts to hold back the water with sandbags.
Cork's Fire Service and Roads Department has been working to maintain access to submerged routes.
Motorists are advised to drive with caution during heavy rain and not to drive through flood waters. Property owners are advised to take precautions in low lying areas or areas susceptible to flooding.
Rosscarbery is one of the worst affected areas with damage to many routes in Clonakilty, Rathbarry, Dunmanway and Bantry.
Elsewhere Cork TD Christopher O'Sullivan says he has made the Taoiseach aware of the damage and Mícheál Martin has confirmed the government will respond as soon as the full extent of the damage is known.
Speaking to RedFM News Acting Director of Services & Roads at Cork County Council Jim Molloy says motorists should take extreme care:
Meanwhile local Councillor Declan Hurley says the extent of the damage is still not known:
