Taoiseach Won't Rule Out Compulsory Purchase Order For Site Of New National Maternity Hospital

Micheál Martin has faced calls to force a purchase of the entire site of St Vincent's Hospital including the existing hospital grounds
The group has said it won't sell the land as it would impact integrated care across the campus.
Taoiseach Micheál Martin has said the government will consider a CPO, but it's risky:
"You know the implications of a CPO. And it can take a long time. Let's be honest about it, I'm going to be straight out with you, it could undermine the prospect of ever getting the hospital built. That has to be weighed up. I'm not saying... We don't rule anything out here."
