TD Slams Announcement Of Cannabis Bill Rejection As A Stunt

TD Gino Kenny says it's horrendous that he found out his bill on medicinal cannabis was being rejected on national radio.
He says it was a PR stunt by Fine Gael's Kate O'Connell to announce it on radio without telling him.
The bill would have decriminalised cannabis for medicinal use - but the Oireachtas Health Committee feared it would do the same for recreational use.
Cork mum Vera Twomey, who has moved to the Hague with her daughter so she can receive cannabis oil treatment for her condition, has already expressed her disappointment on the rejection of the bill
PBP TD Gino Kenny, who supported Vera in her campaign, says it's a shambles that he wasn't formally told his bill was being dumped.
