Teachers say they're still willing to strike over Junior Cert reforms

The head of one of the country's secondary teaching unions says they'll be considering what action to take, as the Education Minister goes ahead with Junior Cert reforms. Jan O'Sullivan has announced new assessment methods for junior cert students will be covered during training days planned to begin after Easter. Yesterday the ASTI and TUI released a joint statement saying it was "extraordinary and unacceptable" that Minister O'Sullivan was proceeding to implement the reforms without their agreement.
