Teaching unions conferences to focus on pay and conditions

The country's three teaching unions are meeting today - with talks set to focus on pay and conditions.
The INTO began its annual think-in yesterday - the TUI conference is to begin later along with the ASTI conference which will see teachers gather at Silversprings Hotel in the city
The TUI says new teachers are leaving their jobs because they cant afford to pay rent.
The union claims some of their members are earning less that €15,000 a year.
TUI General Secretary John McGabhann says as a result some schools are already finding it difficult to find science and language teachers:
