Teen dies in Kerry crash

A 14 year old girl has been killed in a crash in Kerry. She was a front seat passenger in a car which left the road and hit a ditch, three miles from Scartaglen at twenty five past eleven last night. The teenager was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver - a 20 year old woman - and another passenger - an 18 month old girl - were taken to Tralee General Hospital. Gardai say their injuries are not thought to be life threatening. The road has been closed for a forensic examination, and anyone who witnessed the collision is being asked to contact Gardai at Castleisland station.
