Teenage boy pulled out long kitchen knife during row outside a house that led to death of Cameron Blair

19-year-old Scott O’Connor, of Churchfield Square, Churchfield, Cork, pleaded guilty to charges of violent disorder and production of a knife.
Cameron Blair died after being stabbed once in the neck by a 17 year old boy as he tried to keep the peace outside a house party in Cork city on January 16th last year.
That boy has since been sentenced for his murder.
Cameron let him, and two others, including Scott O’Connor, into the party despite the fact he didn’t know them and they hadn’t been invited.
At some point, O’Connor armed himself with a knife and was seen holding it high above his head and pointing it forwards and backwards towards people at the door during a scuffle outside after they were later asked to leave.
He’ll be sentenced for violent disorder and the production of a knife next week.
At his sentence hearing, both legal teams pointed out that Cameron was at all times acting as peacemaker that night.
