Temperatures are to rise as high as 24 degrees in places this week

The good conditions are expected to continue until the weekend when there's to be a few showers in parts.
Alan O'Reilly from Carlow Weather looks ahead to the next couple of days:
"A few lovely find days ahead, it's going to go up to 20 to 23 degrees today, and the best of that will be away from the northwest and west, where it will be cloudier and cooler, but generally some good sunny spells and getting up to 23 degrees. It'll get a little bit warmer even tomorrow, Wednesday, up to 24 degrees again with good sunny spells."
