Met Eireann has warned of the risk of a severe snow event from Wednesday with temperatures across Cork set to plummet and showers of snow expected in places
Alan O'Reilly from Carlow Weather says time will tell:
"The significant snow risk comes from when low pressure systems come up against that cold air Wednesday into Thursday and Friday. However, at the moment, it is impossible to say where exactly that will happen, or if it will turn to rain"
