The country could grind to a halt due to heavy snow next week.

According to Met Eireann, the cold front is moving in from the East.

The weather will begin to turn cold from this weekend, with temperatures dropping again on Wednesday.

Temperatures across Cork will struggle to get past 1 degree from next Tuesday with Wednesday set to be very cold and snow falls are expected in places.
