The Future Of The Little Island Mail Centre Remains Uncertain

It follows yesterday's general meeting of the Communications Workers Union
RedFM News has learned that the Union has refused to back the workers campaign against the closure.
Last month An Post revealed plans to close the centre in March 2020, with the loss of over 200 jobs.
Yesterday's meeting at the Metropole Hotel was an opportunity for the Cork Mail Centre Action Group to seek support from the union in the hope of saving the facility.
However, speaking to RedFM News, John Aherne of he Cork Mail Centre Action Group says they've been left on their own, without a plan going forward:
