The Gardaí, Cork County Council And HSE Appealing For People To Park Legally At Beaches And Beauty Spots This Weekend
It follows a number of incidents where illegally parked cars partially blocked roads and driveways last weekend
Gardaí are asking people to make sure they park legally and leave enough space for emergency vehicles and say they will be issuing fines where necessary.
Speaking to RedFM News, Inspector Kay O'Donoghue from Bantry Garda Station says people need to consider other road users:
"Respect is key. You know everybody saw it during the Cold pandemic that Ireland came to the fore, and they'd asked people across Cork county again to just remember each other, and to give courtesy to other road users this weekend, and to enjoy themselves. That's the main thing: enjoy the glorious weather that we're having at the minute."
