The Government Is Considering Changing Its New 'Stay And Spend' Scheme
It would give consumers more immediate savings
Under the current plan, taxpayers can claim back 20 percent of their food and accommodation up to 125 euro, or 250 euro for couples, as a tax credit.
However, the Sunday Independent reports the government accepts it would be more valuable if people could get the funds more quickly and it's now looking at ways of revamping the scheme.
