The hosepipe ban has been extended in Cork until the last day in September.

Irish Water says it's necessary to conserve water supplies, as levels in rivers lakes and ground sources remain lower than normal.

The ban will remain in Cork and 15 other counties while is will be lifted for 10 counties in the north west at the end of the month, due to increased rainfall.
