The HSE Has Announced Funding For The 16 Bed Cuan Mhuire Step Down Facility On The Western Road

The facility for recovering addicts will cost €300,000 per year to operate
It's due to open in January after lying idle since 2007 due to funding issues.
The charity says it will provide 6,000 bed nights annually and will provide saving of €180,000 in the cost of providing emergency accommodation.
Cuan Mhuire says almost half of those who use their service are homeless at the time of admission.
