The Importance Of Regular HIV Testing Is Being Highlighted In Cork Today

The Sexual Health Centre are organising a World AIDS Day run this morning
They are hoping to raise awareness of the testing facilities available in Cork.
There are over 6,000 people living with HIV in Ireland, with 10 people diagnosed every week.
However about 15% of those living with HIV don't know as they have never been tested or have contracted HIV since their last test.
Todays free 5K run takes place in the Ballincollig Regional Park at 09:30.
Speaking to RedFM News, Catherine Kennedy from the Sexual Health Centre in Cork says HIV is an issue in Ireland.
