The INTO call on the Government to tackle large class sizes

The Irish National Teacher's Organisation are calling on the government to tackle overcrowding in Irish primary schools. The calls come as figures released by the union shows Irish class sizes are among the highest in the Eurozone. According to the figures, 25% of pupils in primary schools in Cork are in 'supersized' classes which means they are in a class of 30 pupils or more. The EU average is 20 pupils per class.
