The ISPCA Has Placed 4 Guinea Pigs And A Goldfish Into Temporary Foster Care
They were found left behind at a home in Cork
It's not known how long they had been left in the apartment, but by the time inspectors arrived a fifth guinea pig had died.
The ISPCA says the remaining guinea pigs were terrified, while the goldfish was in a tank only half full with water.
Senior Inspector Lisa O'Donovan says they were shocked to see the conditions the animals were living in:
