The Latest Announcement On The Progress Of The Events Centre Gives No Clarity About Its Future

Labour's Peter Horgan made the comments and added that a lack of transparency surrounding the project still prevails
He says last week's announcement by the Taoiseach and the Tánaiste at the Fine Gael think-in regarding the funding model gives no confidence in the future of the project.
The project hit a major stumbling block when €9 million of a government funding package was classified as a repayable loan, however BAM, Live Nation, the City Council and the Government have now agreed on terms for the package with the local authority now expected to take over management of the development.
Calls have since been made for the meetings that took place in the lead up to the announcement to be made public.
Speaking to RedFM News Labour's Peter Horgan says even on the day of the announcement the Department itself was still in the dark:
