The Man Killed In A Collision On The Ballyhooley Road Yesterday Has Been Named

Jack Hanley, was in his 70's and from Iona Place in Mayfield
He died after the car in which he was a passenger struck a gate post yesterday morning.
The driver of the car, a woman in her late 70's is being treated for serious injuries in hospital.
Meanwhile a section of road on the N71 between Ballydehob and Bantry has reopened following a fatal crash last night.
A man in his 80's died in the collision. A ten year old boy was also injured and taken to Cork University Hospital for treament.
The other motorist involved in the crash, a 42 year old man sustained minor injuries in the collision.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone why may have witnessed the collision or has information to contact Bantry Garda Station on 027 - 20 860
