The Minister for The Environment is urging farmers to take advantage of a new scheme starting today to remove unwanted tyres from their farms.
Denis Naughten says a number of collection points are being set up over the next three weeks around the country - starting today, at Cootehill Mart in County Cavan from 9am to 5pm.
Minister Naughten says they're tyres will be disposed off safely, without damaging the environment.
