The number of tower blocks in the UK which have cladding that's failed safety tests has nearly doubled

27 high-rises across 15 local authorities have now been identified as having potential dangerous building material - bringing the prospect of emergency work and potentially evacuations

Last night thousands of residents in four blocks in the Camden area of north London were told to leave their flats.

Stephen Mackenzie, an expert in fire risk and safety management, says this should never have been allowed to happen.
