The Queen's visit to Cork is being commemorated in the city this afternoon

Queen Elizabeth and and Prince Philip visited a number of places in the city including the English Market and Tyndall National Institute during their visit exactly ten years ago today
The Lord Mayor of the City will unveil a photographic exhibition at the entrance to the English Market where the Queen unveiled a plaque to commemorate her historic visit to the city in 2011.
Thousands of people lined the streets of Cork for the visit which was heralded as a significant moment for Anglo-Irish relations.
