The Simon Community Is Calling For An Extra 20 Thousand Affordable Rental Homes
It wants the homes to be rolled out over the next 5 years
It's making its pre-Budget submission to the Government at its Simon Week annual conference which gets underway in Dublin today.
The latest homeless figures Leeside show there are 422 adults living in emergency accommodation in Cork City and County.
The Simon Community says we need to end the uncertainty facing more than 10,000 homeless people in Ireland.
