The Tánaiste Has Welcomed An Increase In The Number Of Permanent Gardaí In Cork

Simon Coveney made the comments on the back of an ongoing targeted and specialist Garda operation in the city.
Operation Thor has been in operation since February 16th and is aimed at tackling burglaries and property crime.
The operation has involved a combination of uniformed and targeted covert patrols on the north and south side of the city as well as a number of crime prevention checkpoints.
Speaking to RedFM News from China, Tánaiste Simon Coveney says the operation has been successful:
