Counting will resume in the local elections this morning in City Hall at 10am after a recount was called in the South Central ward. 

Four of the five wards have been decided with all but two seats left to be filled after counting went into the early hours.

The County Council have confirmed that a full recount for the Bantry-West Cork Local Electoral Area will take place at 11am this morning at County Hall. 

Just one vote separates Holly McKeever Cairns of the Social Democrats and Independent Finbarr Harrington.
