Gardai investigating the gruesome murder of a 64 year old homeless man in Cork city have issued a major witness appeal 

The man's partially dismembered body was found in the garden of a derelict house on the Boreenmana Road in the city on Saturday afternoon at around 4pm 

The dead man has been named locally as Francis "Frankie" Dunne, who was originally from the northside of Cork City

A man in his 40's has died after getting into difficulty while diving near Cork harbour yesterday  

Crosshaven RNLI were alerted and scrambled to the scene just after 4pm yesterday 

Paramedics attended to him at the scene and the man was rushed by ambulance to Cork University Hospital where he was later pronounced dead
