The crew of a fishing trawler have been rescued following a fire onboard a fishing trawler near the Kinsale gas field. 

Coastguard rescue rescue helicopter R117 was deployed from Waterford after the four crew abandoned their boat and got into a lift raft in the early hours of this morning.

45 jobs have been announced at the Tyndall National Institute in the City. 

The jobs were announced by the Higher Education Minister Simon Harris at the launch of the institute's Quantum Computer Engineering Centre.

The much-anticipated reunion special of Friends has finally got a release date  after a lengthy delay caused by the Covid pandemic.

Friends: The Reunion will be available to stream from the 27th of May after the cast were finally able to film together last month.
