The Union of Students in Ireland warn against the use of popular drug Fentanyl

It comes as five deaths in Cork and Dublin in recent weeks are being attributed to the drug

As students are preparing to return to college, the Union of Students in Ireland have issued a stark warning against the use of popular drug Fentanyl.

The USI says the drug is so strong that it can enter the body by simply being absorbed into the skin.

It comes as five deaths in Cork and Dublin in recent weeks are being attributed to the drug -  which can be smoked and injected.

The drug is used in anesthetics and even little amounts can cause overdose.
