The Women Of The Magdalene Laundries Must Never Be Forgotten

That's according to Justice for Magdalenes Research

The organisation are holding a series of commemorations tomorrow to honour the women who died in convert across the country.

The group estimate that there are 1,000 living survivors of the laundries and say there are over 1,660 former Magdalene women buried in cemeteries in Ireland.

The Cork commemoration takes places at St Joseph's Graveyard, Tory Top Road at midday tomorrow.

Speaking to RedFM News, Claire McGettrick from Justice for Magdalenes Research says some graves in Cork are inaccessable.
