There's been a drop of 16 per cent in the overall number of patients on waiting lists.
The National Treatment Purchase Fund has released the figures to the end of September.
The number of patients waiting for an inpatient or day case procedure now stands at 72,700, down from the peak of 86,100 in July 2017.
The Health Minister Simon Harris says he's pleased to see that the number of patients on waiting list has fallen again this month.
