This week marks Organ Donor Awareness Week
It will run until the 8th of April to remind the public to tell their family if they want to become a donor.
People are also being encouraged to consider organ donation and carry an organ donor card, download the Smartphone App and put Code 115 on their driver's license.
Sally Nagle from Montenotte received a kidney transplant just over a decade ago when she was 15-years-old. She had been on a waiting list and on home dialysis treatment.
Speaking to RedFM News Sally says receiving a kidney transplant was a life line for her and her family.
