Those who died in 1916 Easter Rising will be remembered by the State today

Ceremonies are being held across the country.
President Michael D Higgins and Taoiseach Leo Varadkar will attend the commemoration outside the GPO in Dublin this afternoon.
The ceremony gets underway at midday, with a reading of the proclamation.
Meanwhile here in Cork the annual Easter 1916 Commemoration in Clonakilty is getting underway this morning.
The ceremony commenced at Asna Square in the town centre at 11:30 and includes special guest speaker Sinn Fein Councillor Paul Hayes.
Other ceremonies taking place this afternoon include the annual Cork Unity 1916 Easter Commemoration at St Finbarr's cemetery.
Now in it's 102nd year, attendees will assemble at 1:45pm at Wilton Roundabout before proceeding to the republican Plot at St. Finbarr's cemetery.
Dublin Lord Mayor Micheal MacDonncha says it's always important to remember them.
