Thousands left without power in the Carrigaline area

Over 4,000 homes and businesses were off the grid today in the Carrigaline area.
It's understood the power outage which resulted in the power cut relates to an ESB Sub Station in Carrigaline.
The ESB have confirmed they have a fault in the Carrigaline, Rochestown and surrounding areas and say they're working to repair the fault as quickly as possible.
The ESB has restored power already to many of those affected however at the time of writing there are currently 1,392 customers still without power.
The ESB apologised for any inconvenience caused as a result of the power outage.
