Thousands of homes across Cork without power

Homes in Ballincollig, Bishopstown, Glanmire, Douglas, Mayfield, Fairhill, Togher, & Dennehys Cross are facing outages
Gardai are asking the public not to approach fallen wires to report any incidents to the ESB Helpline on 1850372999
Gardai and Emergency Services are working to clear roads, but they have again appealed to the public not to venture out on the roads as many are currently blocked by fallen trees.
In the city Sgt Peter Murphy of the Communications Centre in Angelsea Street says the public needs to be patients while roads are being cleared.
