Thousands To Vote On Catalan Independence
Spanish Police are seizing ballot boxes from some Catalan polling stations ahead of a planned referendum on independence.
The vote has been deemed illegitimate by the central government in Madrid.
Cork Solidarity TD Mick Barry, who's in Barcelona to act as an official observer to the referendum, says despite tensions there's optimism on the pro-independence side:
