Three men arrested after major drugs haul in Blarney

Gardaí have arrested three men for questioning following a €100,000 drugs seizure in Blarney yesterday evening.

Members of the Cork City division drug squad arrested three men when they stopped and searched two cars in Bishopstown at around 3.30pm and found €8,000 worth of heroin.

In a follow up search at an apartment in Blarney yesterday evening, 3/4 of a kilo of heroin with a street value of €100,000 was discovered.

€2,000 worth of cocaine was also found.

The three men, who are aged in their 30s, were arrested under drug trafficking legislation.

Two are being held in Togher and the third man is being held in Gurranabraher.

The men can be held for up to seven days.
