Threshold Says New Legislation Introduced By The Housing Minister Is A Step In The Right Direction

Eoghan Murphy announced the Rental Tenancies Act today, which aims to provide more protection to tenants.
The Act includes criminal prosecution for landlords who breach rent pressure zone caps, a rent register to track prices and longer notice periods for tenants.
Rent pressure zones in Cork were extended to include Ballincollig, Carrigaline, Cobh, Douglas and Passage West last year
Speaking to RedFM News, Edel Conlon from Threshold in Cork says measures to stop some landlords breaching rent pressure zone caps will give renters more clarity:
