Tit Bonhomme Report Questioned

A leading fisheries group has questioned the key findings of a report into the Tit Bonhomme tragedy. The report by th Marine Casualty Investigation Unit blamed fatigue for the disater which claimed the lives of five men in Glandore harbour last year. The Irish South and West Fish Producer's Organisation says it cannot accept that fatigue was the main cause of the tragedy , given the experience of the crew and the short duration of their fishing trip on January 15th last year. However, the group has supported the call for watchkeeping alarm systems to be installed on trawlers.
