Today Marks The 6th National Ambulance Service Strike Day Since The Start Of The Year

Pickets have been mounted nationwide and the action will run until 5pm
The strike centres on the refusal of the HSE to recognise the trade union of choice - the Psychiatric Nurses Association - of more than 500 ambulance staff personnel.
Pickets have been mounted nationwide and the action will run until 5pm
PNA ambulance branch members claim the HSE is attempting to force them to be members of unions they don't want to join and the refusal to engage with them is just serving to harden their mood and determination.
Speaking to RedFM News the PNA's David Walker who is protesting at the Kinsale Road Ambulance base says an EGM has been called for April 18th where the possibility of an escalation of their action will be raised
