Today Marks The Start Of EU Code Week Which Runs At A Number Of Schools And Youth Clubs Across The Country Until October 21st

It's hoped that 50 per cent of all schools across Europe will teach coding by 2020

Today marks the start of EU Code Week which runs at a number of schools and youth clubs across the country until October 21st.

The objective is to raise greater awareness among young people regarding the potential benefits of learning computer coding.

It's hoped that 50 per cent of all schools across Europe will teach coding by 2020.

The EU Commission office in Dublin's Grace Bolton says coding is a great way for them to learn how to build websites and access computer technology.
