The top four things you need to know for Friday May 28th.

International travel for holidays is set to return on July 19th, under plans going to cabinet this afternoon. 

On June 7th, restaurants and pubs can open for outdoor dining, while cinemas and gyms will also reopen. 

Outdoor gatherings of up to 100 people will be allowed in June, or up to 200 in very large venues. 

NPHET has also cleared the way for indoor dining to return from July 5th.

A UCC Professor says it's only a matter of time before there's significant spread of the Indian variant to Ireland.

Up to three-quarters of new cases in the UK are of the Indian strain and it's spreading.

UCC Professor of Public Health Ivan Perry says the Government should think about putting Britain on the mandatory hotel quarantine list.

A car has been recovered from a river in Crosshaven but no remains have been found inside.

The car was discovered by memebers of Cork City Missing Persons Search and recovery on Wednesday night who were trying out a side scanning sonar device.

Garda Divers examined the car in the water at Hugh Coveney Pier yesterday before it was removed to a Garda Comppund for forensic examination.

The car is beleived to belong to 23 year old Barry Coughlan who was last seen in Crosshaven in 2004.

This weekend is set to be the hottest of the year so far. 

It will reach 16 to 20 degrees tomorrow, but there will be some drizzle in parts of the west and north-east.
