The top four things you need to know for Tuesday morning, June 15th.

The inquests of a father and his two sons who died in a suspected murder suicide in Kanturk will be opened next month.

Gardai believe Mark O'Sullivan was shot in his bedroom by his father Tadgh and younger brother Diarmuid in their home in Kanturk on October 26 last year.

The indications are that Tadgh and Diarmuid shot themselves a short time later in a nearby field.

The City Council would need to convince motorists that public transport will be able to meet their needs before cars can be banned from the city on a full time basis. 

The National Bus and Rail Union says investment would be needed for park and ride facilities and additional buses before any proposal to pedestrianise the entire city could be considered.

Cabinet will consider extra restrictions on people traveling into Ireland from Britain this morning. 

It follows a surge in cases of the more transmissible Delta variant in England, with the strain fast becoming dominant there.

Under plans to be considered by ministers, unvaccinated people will need to isolate for 10 days - with negative tests on day 5 and 10. \

A full return to college campuses is on course for the autumn. 

Higher Education Minister Simon Harris will brief his colleagues today on the plan to re-open third level education. 

Numbers are likely to be managed and staggered - but smaller lectures, workshops, libraries and tutorials will return at minimum.
