Tourism Across Cork Under Threat From Proposed Short Term Letting Regulations

That's according to the Irish Self Catering Federation who say they have grave concerns about the success of their members if new legislation is enacted.
Minister Eoghan Murphy announced plans to regulate short term letting in October which included a rule that will force those offering short term lets to apply to their local council for a change of use from residential to commercial planning.
The legislation is due to come into effect on June 1st, however the ISCF says that many councils still know nothing of the proposed change.
Speaking to RedFM News, Jacinta Doolan from the Irish Self Catering Federation says the legislation will hit families who have been in the business for decades:
The ISCF will host a meeting to discuss the matter at the Westlodge Hotel Bantry tomorrow (Wednesday) from 7-9pm
