Traffic And Transportation Study Will Tackle Traffic Congestion In Little Island
That's according to a Council engineer
The new 20 year strategy puts forward 6 recommendations to improve access to and within Little Island including the provision of increased road capacity, access for public transport and the development of a walking and cycling network on the Island.
The Council are also planning a mobility hub- similar to a park and ride- at the Little Island railway station and a campaign to encourage people to use public. transport.
Speaking to RedFM News, Senior Traffic and Transport Engineer Peter O'Donoghue says the Council recognise the potential of Little Island.
