Transatlantic flights from Cork hailed as a game changer

The first transatlantic flights from Cork airport have been hailed as game changers for business and tourism Leeside.

At 9.59am the long awaited connection between Cork and the U.S was formalised as 85 passengers landed in Cork airport on WOW Air's new service .

Passengers can now travel to ten North American destinations via Reykjavík which is a milestone for Cork Airport who have been working to secure a transatlantic connection for many years.
