Transgender Pride Flag To Fly At UCC
It's a first for an Irish university
UCC is currently in the process of finalising its Gender Identity and Expression Policy, which seeks to support trans and non-binary staff and students.
The flying of the flag has been described as one of the highlights of Equality Week which gets underway at the college this week.
The University will also celebrate International Women's Day on March 8 with 'Hypatia Day'.
UCC's Staff LGBT Network, which celebrated its 10th anniversary last year and all events taking place this week are open to the public and people are encouraged to attend.
