Trial of a Cork man accused of murdering his girlfriend ends with jury unable to agree on whether or not he’s guilty.
Darren Murphy of Dan Desmond Villas in Passage West admitted killing Olivia Dunlea in February 2013, but denied her murder claiming he didn't mean to
Olivia was stabbed but still alive when her home was set on fire.
Darren's plea to the lesser charge of manslaughter wasn’t accepted by the DPP who will now have to decide whether there should be a retrial.
